DESCRIPTION:Tuesday 9th February 2021 we are running an open 'Workplace PTSD Awareness & Resilience' training.\nThis is a 1-day training course and will be an interactive online training.\nTo book a place on the course\, simply click here and complete the form.\nThis course if for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge about the subject of Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder and psychological wellbeing and resilience in order to better support their own wellbeing.\n\nLearning objectives\n\nDay 1 syllabus. At the end of this course\, attendees will:\n\n \t• Understand what is meant by the terms ‘mental health crisis’\, ‘psychological critical incident’ and ‘crisis mental health care’\n• Be able to differentiate between mental health awareness (general) and psychological first aid (acute) support\n• Learn about the stress response in acute situations and when under prolonged duress\n• Be aware of the signs and symptoms of acute and chronic stress\, for an individual and within the workplace\n• Be aware of adaptive and maladaptive stress reactions and coping mechanisms\n• Understand key factors that impact psychological vulnerability and resilience\n• Be aware of resilience strategies that facilitate recovery from acute and chronic stress\n• Understand the importance of self-care to manage their own psychological wellbeing\n• Recognise when professional support should be accessed and where to signpost towards\n\n \n\nAgenda for the day:\n\n \t9am Online registration and tech checks\n \tSession 1: 9:30-11am (90mins)\n \tBreak 11am (15mins)\n \tSession 2: 11:15am to 12:45pm (90mins)\n \tLunch 12:45 – 1:30pm (45mins)\n \tSession 3: 1:30 – 3pm (90mins)\n \tBreak 3pm (15mins)\n \tSession 4: 3:15 – 4:30pm (75mins)\n \tQ&A and finish by 4:45pm\n\n \n\nRecent feedback from delegates attending this course:\n\nThe course is structured in such a way that even the most experienced students will find real value in its contents and teaching points.\nS.D.R.\, London.\, Humanitarian Aid Sector\nIt’s a very practical day\, helps to identify positive coping strategies and understand that you can heal from trauma.\nF.T.\, London.\, Civil Service Sector\nAlthough I am not directly involved with critical incidents and bereavement\, this was a great chance for me to understand more on how I can potentially help going forward in my role in Wellbeing.
