Treatment Centre: COVID-19 Policy

SafeHaven Trauma Centre COVID-19 Policy

As you will all be aware, the COVID-19 virus is in the UK and measures are being taken to stop the spread of the virus.  At SafeHaven Trauma Centre, we have formulated a policy to support these measures.

For clients:

If you have the symptoms of a cold or temperature, no matter how mild, we ask that you cancel your appointment and do not come into the centre until 14 days after you began experiencing these symptoms.

If you begin to experience symptoms but are not due in the centre for several days, please contact us as soon as possible.  This will enable us to reschedule your appointment or organise an online session for you with a little disruption to your treatment as possible.

In the event of you being unable to attend the centre, you will be offered an online session in place of your in-person psychotherapy session at the centre and/or an online mindfulness session in place of your acupuncture/mindfulness session.

If you are looking for update information about the COVID-19 virus, please check the NHS website https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ and UK government website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

Our responsibility to you:

If any of the staff have symptoms of a cold or have a temperature, they will not attend the centre and your appointment will either be rescheduled for after their quarantine period has ended or you will be offered an online psychotherapy session and/or online mindfulness session.

If both clients and staff are well, we will provide hand gel and the option for you to wash your hands when you attend the centre.

We will inform of any changes to your appointment at the centre via email or by phone and with as much notice as we are able to.

Cancellation:

Our standard cancellation policy, where we ask for 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a session to ensure no charge to you, is in place generally. However, where cancellation is specifically due to symptoms of a viral infection, a tele-health appointment will be offered and where unsuitable no cancellations fees will apply.
