Bereavement - SafeHaven Trauma Centre
Coming to terms with the death of a loved one is something we will experience at some point of our lives, grief is the pain we feel when a loved one passes, recovering from this grief is a process and can take up to two years, however, some people struggle to cope and can’t let go.
We most often grieve for someone that we have known for a long time. However, it is clear that people who have had stillbirths or miscarriages, or who have lost very young children, grieve in the same way and need the same sort of care and consideration.
Symptoms include:
• Sleepless nights
• Depression
• Lack or increase of appetite and energy.
